FEES
I charge $230 per session for individual therapy (50 min). In general, therapy sessions take place on a weekly basis and are most effective when you are able to attend consistently. At our initial session, we can discuss your goals and needs and decide how often we meet.
INSURANCE
I am not in-network with any health insurances. In most cases, you will need to contact your insurance provider regarding out-of-network benefits. I am happy to provide a monthly statement ("superbill") for you to submit to your PPO health insurance or Health Savings Account for reimbursement. For a helpful explanation on superbills, please see this article.
When contacting your insurance, it may be helpful to ask:
Do I need prior authorization for out-of-network therapy services?
Am I covered for 50-min psychotherapy sessions out of network (CPT Code 90834)?
How many sessions per year does my plan cover?
What is my deductible and have I met it? Once I meet my deductible, what percentage will I be covered for therapy sessions?
As an out-of-network provider, I have partnered with Mentaya to help my clients save money on therapy. If you qualify, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. They charge a 5% fee per claim and have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year.
Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation. To learn more, please visit https://www.mentaya.com/patients
CANCELLATION FEES
You will be charged the full session fee for cancellations/rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours in advance, except in extenuating circumstances such as medical emergencies. Insurance companies will not cover missed sessions and late cancellations.
GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
As of January 2022, under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide patients who do not have insurance and/or who are not using insurance with a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost.
